Meet Susan Denning

For 26 years, I have been a professional counselor and educator. With a Masters degree in psychological counseling, I spent those years perfecting my profession. I taught undergraduate students at several New Jersey colleges. I also assisted students with career placement and applications to advanced institutions. Eight years ago, I redirected my focus to work exclusively in college counseling at Kent Place School. The private school’s outstanding college placement record was lauded by the Wall Street Journal in 2007. I am now counseling a limited number of private clients through the college admissions process. I have been  a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, the most prominent organization for people in the field. Founded to provide students greater access to higher education, NACAC crafted a Code of Ethics, which has since developed into the  Statement of Principles of Good Practice (SPGP). I and the association’s 11,000 college counseling and admission professionals adhere to this code.  I have received certification from the Harvard Institute on College Admissions and TEACH. I have visited dozens of colleges in order to match students with appropriate choices. I love helping students by limiting the stress of this very competitive process and empowering them to make good, strong matches with their college choices. One of my greatest joys is hearing, “I got in” from my students.
