Getting into college has become more competitive than professional sports. Like a rigorous decathlon, students must endure the trials of competition every step of the way. This process can leave a student and his/her family confused, frustrated and exhausted.  Allow me, Susan Denning, to help alleviate the stress of the college admissions process.  After eight years in the College Advising Office of Kent Place School, I will be counseling a limited number of private clients. Students and their families will receive expert one-on-one advice and support through this complex and perplexing process. Available for in-person meetings, as well as by phone, Skype and email, I can customize a program to meet your college planning needs.

         Taking a holistic approach, I get to know students’ interests and aspirations to ensure their needs are met. My eight years of college advising experience have shown me that there is no one perfect college for a student; there are several. I have visited dozens of colleges and I feel competent providing students with a range of options where they will feel socially and academically at home.

While high school counselors are burdened with hundreds of students, many different responsibilities, mounds of paperwork and limited in resources, I will complement a high school counselor’s efforts with personal attention and individualized guidance. I have one focus- college advising. My goals include:
